Puerta del Sol is the first condominium/villa project that was built at Cabo del Sol. The project offers two to five bedroom floor plans ranging from 2,335 to 5,350 square feet. All units feature spacious terraces, large living areas and spectacular views of the sea and the lush fairways of The Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol. Residents will also appreciate the high quality kitchen appliances, furniture and washroom accessories in each unit.
An expansive, clubhouse will provide residents with a myriad of recreational services including a spa, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and workout facility. Residents and their visitors will also enjoy three two-tiered swimming pools terracing down towards the beach, beautifully landscaped grounds and scenic walkways.
Totaling approximately 40,000 square feet, the new golf clubhouse at Cabo del Sol opened in 2002. The facility serves both The Ocean Course, a Jack Nicklaus Signature design and the Tom Weiskopf-designed Desert Course.
Approximately 25,000-sq. ft. of interior space and 14,000-sq. ft. of exterior and terrace space joined by 12-foot moveable glass doors that create a "wall-less" indoor/outdoor ambiance.
Cabo del Sol teamed up architect Jon Bernhard of Arizona-based Swaback Partners and Roberto Elias of Elias + Elias in Guadalajara to create a truly organic structure that fits into the contrasting nature of desert and sea. The architecture calls for a distinctive Mexican design featuring spacious verandas, terraces with flowering gardens, indoor/outdoor dining and a spacious golf shop.
A world-renowned Jack Nicklaus Signature design stretching for more than a mile along a coastline of craggy rock outcroppings and sun-washed shores. This championship layout is praised by Nicklaus himself for having the “three finest finishing holes in all of golf.” The 5th and signature 17th holes are currently ranked among “The 500 Best Holes in the World” according to Golf Magazine (January 2000).
This masterful Tom Weiskopf design features mesmerizing ocean views from all 18 holes, each artfully sculpted through incredible natural surroundings. A unique combination of desert and ocean, canyon-like arroyos and a variety of foliage creates a breathtaking backdrop as well as a significant challenge. The course varies in length from 4,810 to 7,100 with undulating greens, challenging elevation changes and dramatic bunkering. The Desert Course is rated #6 in all of México by Golf Digest placing it behind only The Ocean Course among Los Cabos' resort golf offerings.
Cabo del Sol is one of the nicest, master-planned community in Los Cabos. There are rumors that a thrid hotel will be added in addition to the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar and Gran Fiesta Americana.
